A great start for a new author. A great read that catches your attention from the start. Although this story can use some minor brush-ups, like adding date and location to the start of the chapter (as you do go from past to present with each chapter). I can't wait to see what Mr. McCullough can come up with to top this one in book 2 Sea of Glass. I look forward to watching Mr. McCullough grow as an author.
For right wing zealots only. Totally consumed with crazy ideas like creationism and gun love. Ends up in the end time.
I don't read a ton but I had a hard time putting this book down. I sure do hope what happens in this book doesn't ever play out in real life scary stuff. Can't wait for the next one in this series

I loved the book, took it camping and finished it in two days! WHEN will the next one be out, Im Ready! So realistic, since I live in the area where this takes place, I could actually visualize it.
I had the good fortune of meeting this author, David McCullough in person, and from talking with him I got the impression that he knows his subject matter quite well. He’s obviously done an enormous amount of hunting and roaming the woods of North Idaho. So he was able to inject a level of firsthand knowledge into the story that not all authors manage to do. A degree of how-to survival information is also woven into the story nicely, and I suspect that even the most experienced outdoorsmen could learn a thing or two from this novel. The best technique for sharpening a hunting knife is just one of many neat tricks that come to mind.
Most important of all, however, is that “All The Pretty Missiles” is well composed. This is a novel that spins a main plot and several subplots together into an entertaining scenario. David is a skilled storyteller and I am enjoying this novel immensely.
Very interesting novel by a historian. Can't wait to get the next installment. I was disappointed because I didn't read that it was a work in progress. Hope he doesn't have the future called right.
